超癒し系の女性シンガーソングライター、「サラ・マクラクラン」の紹介です。


１９８８年に発売されたアルバム「タッチ」に収録された曲"Strange World"が、当時のNHK-BS放送「オーディオグラフィック」の中で不思議な人形の映像を背景にして流れた時には鳥肌が立ちました。


当時はまだ高校生でしたが、その時初めて「サラ・マクラクラン」という名前を知った訳ですが、なんという美しく不思議な雰囲気を出すアーティストがいるのだと驚いたことをハッキリ覚えています。


そんなサラ・マクラクランが２００４年に出したアルバム"Afterglow"の一曲目の曲です。


独特の美しいメロディと音色、そして心に染み込んでくるような彼女のボーカルは決して飽きることがなく、一曲目だけではなくアルバムを通してゆっくり聴きたくなります。


聴き終えたあと"Afterglow"のタイトルの通り、夕映えの暖色をイメージする素晴らしいアルバムです。
